About:

We are very excited to be having Shuji & Alison from Wabi Sabi come back this year to teach at our new premises! And we saw how absolutely obsessed everyone was in the last workshop, we booked a longer workshop this time round, so book your spot early!

Experience the magic of shibori (Japanese resist-dyeing) using Japanese indigo. Participants will learn how indigo dye is made in Japan and ten or more shibori techniques.  You will also learn what you can make in your future projects (bags, quilt tops, clothing) with indigo dyed materials. In the process of creating scarves and two metres of fabric for you to use in projects, you will explore as many of these techniques as you wish and amaze yourself with what is possible in this very accessible craft.
NO REQUIREMENTS LIST
Just walk into class and enjoy the dyeing.  People will have access to natural indigo vats, aprons, gloves and resists (clamps, wood resists, PVC pipes, marbles, rubber bands, Arimatsu shibori threads, needles and scissors).
We recommend participants to wear old clothes and shoes in case of splashes.
